This is a provisional programme and there's much more to come so check back here for the latest additions.
All the sessions will take place around the Bloomsbury Colleges University of London campus in central London. Click here for a map.
It's a packed programme but throughout the four days we'll be gathering your news, ideas, blog feeds, pictures and Tweets on the dev8D blog and Netvibes Universe to keep everyone up to date with what's going on.
A day of pre-event coding labs and workshops for everyone who wants to get up to speed on coding basics in Ruby, Python and Perl.

The premier event kicks off with Talkshop Day – an opportunity for developers to get to know each another, get talking, pitch ideas and decide on which to pursue into Decathlon Day 2. Expect whiteboards, flipcharts, lots of caffeine and for the ideas to flow thick and fast. A peer voting system will run throughout the day for all the paper prototypes produced in the talkshops.
The event blog has more details of the competitions and prizes at dev8D

Let the coding begin! The teams formed from the Talkshop process will begin a rapid prototyping process, bringing together wireframes, interfaces, systems, code and anything else they fancy to demonstrate the purpose of their application.
The final prototype to be submitted to the competition does not have to be "working code" (though bonus points if it is), rather the essence of the application created should reflect how well the team works as a whole to bring together the various components to produce their killer application. Submission of entries must be as a screencast with working interfaces even if the code isn't functional. No bullet points please!
Deadline for final submission is midnight GMT Thursday February the 19th.
